Orangeries – green rooms and sensuous oases
An old boathouse turns into A CREATIVE OASIS AND STORE • In the middle of the Danish town of Nykøbing Sjælland – close to the sea and surrounded by peace and quiet – Janne has turned an old boathouse into her creative workshop and her small store, "Anno1808". Formerly used for boats, this place has become a vivid and evocative room full of personality, recycling treasures and joy of making. It oozes of coziness, creativity and history.
A GREEN HAVEN at Tine’s and Tommy’s • Four years ago, Tine and her husband, Tommy, who’s a carpenter, started building their orangery. Now, it’s the backdrop for endless hours of life, coziness and creativity. Back then, it hosted Tine’s store, Ville Kulla, which she ran for three years. The store was closed down earlier this year, and now the couple has turned the orangery into a kind of extra living room – a central part of life in summer and a warm place to gather in winter.
Recycling with heart and soul • In the middle of a lush garden – behind the old stable – you’ll find an orangery full of warmth, history and charm. It has been created based on love, time and a special gift for seeing beauty in old, used things. When Mette and Jens got two piles of old bricks from a historical stable, they spent around six months carefully cleaning each single brick with lots and lots of patience as a sign of their respect for the soul and origin of the materials.
FANTASTIC HAVENS for everyday life

She is a woman who likes to feel the soil with her hands, and her heart beats for flowers. Lisbeth is the fourth generation of garden center gardeners and she’s been surrounded by green thumbs and blossoming paths her entire life. Her interest in plants and all the things that are alive in the garden has been part of her life ever since she can remember.
